Traveling all over the world to photograph people I know, and many I didn’t know before they reached out, is awesome. I love to travel, I love cultures and languages, and most of all, I love seeing people in THEIR spot. The place where they live out their lives, and make their mark on the world! When a dear friend reached out to ask if I would travel to Georgia to photograph her newborn in their family mountain cabin, it was a resounding yes! I for sure did not have “Newborn Session in a mountain cabin in Georgia” on my bingo card for 2023 but I was thrilled thrilled thrilled to add it!

There are only so many times in life that uniquely wonderful opportunities come across one’s path. This one was a spectacular combination of friends, mountains, travel, African and Asian connections, and so much more.

A mix of classic with cabin vibes

The warm, cosy cabin vibes of the Newborn Session in a mountain cabin in Georgia were so comforting and rich. Combined with some classic neutrals, this little man has a portfolio to rival all portfolios! LOL! His little perfect toes, precious lips, and absolutely beautiful face are just stunning. I’m SO amazed by my incredible friend who is a powerhouse of a woman, juggling her wildly successful and growing business, Pouch Pies, with being a wife, mom and excellent friend. She is always kind, super knowledgable and interesting and I know is going to be the best mom.

I hope I get to photograph this sweet family again in the future, even though they’re clear on the other side of the country! I did get to photograph Chantelle’s sister and her family, so I’ll blog that soon. But in the meantime, feast your eyes on this fantastic little Georgian South African Asian family!
