I hadn’t planned on doing Fall Mini Sessions 2024, but so many people have asked and as the crispness has crept into the morning air, I’m getting ready to celebrate the gorgeousness we all know is ahead! On top of that, I found the most incredible location in Halifax, MA. A farm with a gorgeous Willow Tree next to a pond, a Hollow (which we won’t use this year but ohhhh the possibilities!), fields for dayyyyys (full sessions will be gorgeous here) and CHRISTMAS TREES! Not only Christmas Trees, but Christmas Trees so GIANT they have been there for forever! They line one side of the Boulevard that is lined with trees that turn all the hues of Fall! Since I haven’t done minis there before, the photos below are a combination of the actual new location and previous session images.
I’ve heard, and all the predictions I’ve seen are saying, that Fall color is going to peak early this year. As in the first and second week of October. So, we’re going to take a chance and schedule the sessions for the first and second Sundays in October, taking *full* advantage of the Golden Hour so we can have that honey, rich, light.

Sunday October 6 – Willow Tree Pond (Halifax, MA)
This perfect spot under the willow tree and next to the pond is perfect for cuddling on a blanket or getting close together with a vista of gorgeous fall color behind you!
Sunday October 13 – The Boulevard (Halifax, MA)
The Boulevard transports you away from the bustle into the joy of your family! As you walk down the row between gorgeous fall color on one side, and Christmas Trees on the other, you’ll be ushered into the season of all things cinnamon and crisp fall air!
I took this photo this week (end of Aug) and with a touch of imagination we can just see how it’ll be when all the leaves change!
Get a Fall Photo against the backdrop of reds, oranges and yellows, and turn around and get one with a Christmassy feel between the 30 foot tall Christmas Trees!

We will plan on keeping the mini sessions as planned unless there is lightning, or a downpour!
Dramatic skies make for some beautiful photos, so don’t be afraid of an overcast or cloudy day!
Please plan for any scenario – we have had 80 degree days and 40 degree days. Plan for your comfort, and know that it’s a quick 15 minutes and you can plan on warming up with some apple cider or something equally fun afterwards! Make it an experience and a fun day out no matter what!

Yes, you can cancel your spot if you are unable to attend – the $100 deposit will not be returned but can be applied toward a future session.
You can reschedule your spot *IF* there are other open spots available. However, do bear in mind that these fill up quickly, well in advance. If there are no open spots, your session can be rescheduled toward *a full family session*. Other mini sessions are not available.
Some tips are:
• Avoid bold patterns, words or logos
• Instead of “matching” everyone’s clothes with the same color. vary it and coordinate it by using various colors and neutrals from a swatch like the one below!
Yes! You CAN bring your dog! However he/she needs to remain leashed.
Yes! Gift cards are available, so if you think this would be a great early Christmas Gift for someone to book their own session, or a grandparent to order prints out of your gallery, order one HERE!
Not yet! They open after Thanksgiving and have amazing experiences for more memory making – well worth the return trip!
