In-Home Newborn Session in Boston

This sweet boy was born at home! In keeping with that theme to introduce themselves very gently to the outside world, the G family decided to have his newborn photos at home with an In-Home Newborn Session. Since they just moved from CA a year ago, they have had a lot of change. As such, they are being gentle with themselves, and taking advantage of a unique season in life where you really do get to retreat, and just “be”. With the gentleness of a home birth guided by midwives, I am not surprised at their holding on to beautiful home experiences!

This family has also chosen to keep their kiddos faces off social media etc, so we have blurred out some of it to maintain their privacy.

What does an in-home newborn session look like?

That’s completely up to you! As a photographer who enjoys documenting families and their bonds, lifestyle newborn sessions are a favorite of mine. But then again, the super sweet posed newborn images that really are an art form have captured my heart, too! This mom really wanted my studio in her living room, so that’s what we did! With lights, beanbags and everything else, this little guy was the star of the day and thoroughly rocked his session!

Even though mama contacted me just days before the little guy was born, we were able to make a plan, and make sure we captured this super special season when he was just 12 days old. He was an absolute joy and I’m so looking forward to the next time we get to make some special memories!
