Maternity and Family Session – Roddy Family | Boston, MA

It was a lot colder 14 months ago when we got to celebrate London before he was born! His mama’s maternity session was in early Spring – March to be exact – and was pretty cold. Hand warmers saved the day and we ended up with a gorgeous gallery of memories…

Rolling with it- maternity and family

There were unavoidable last-minute switches and the prospect of thunderstorms predicted for the end of our time together. Even though I was already an hour away from home base, I was wondering if it would be better to reschedule. But when I heard that London had had literally the best nap of his life that afternoon, I knew we had to move forward regardless. And I’m *so* glad we did! In spite of it being near his bed time, he was an absolutely joy! Combining a maternity and family session (and first birthday, too!) makes for a busy season with a lot going on. In spite of the busyness this sweet family has carved out time to celebrate them.

Reasons to celebrate

Walking on grass for the first time 2 days before his first birthday. A first birthday! And being just 2 months away from the arrival of his little brother. There is a lot for this precious family to celebrate!

I couldn’t resist taking a few short video clips just to capture the firsts, and some of the beautiful moments… so, don’t miss the short film at the end.

Location

I absolutely love the freshness and spring flavor of this beautiful place! It was actually our 3rd choice for location, but it’s amazing how the Lord works. It ended up being ideal, and I hope to be able to go there again in the near future! It’s absolutely perfect for a combined maternity and family session! There is room to run, and enough variety that you don’t have to go far to get beautiful images!

Remembering what’s important

Taking the time out to be together and savor the moments in the busy seasons is so important. I just feel like life rushes by. If we think about what is actually important, it’s family, love, and in the end the things that will last. Savor those things! Build the things that last forever! As successful business owners, Steve & Ranata have kept their eyes on the prize. So excited to watch your family grow and see you soar!
