Fun. Mischief. Joy. Loyalty. Support. Pranks. Everything you could imagine between twin brother and sister who have finally reached the home stretch of their high school careers after a life of doing everything together! Of course, the competition is fierce, and it was made clear who was born first – by a whole 2 minutes! HA!
These two for sure knew how to relax, embrace the moments, and celebrate all that there is to be celebrated! Not only that but their closeness with mom is so evident and I’m so thrilled she came prepared to step into a few shots with them.
These are not your typical “Senior pics”… I believe it’s an opportunity to fully celebrate the people who have spent so many years being moulded and shaped and growing into the amazing humans they are now! So we have at it and really do a full on session, making sure there are some “senior book” appropriate images.
It’s so worth it! The end results speak for themselves!

I’m also so thrilled to share the absolutely precious review mom left for me. What an honor to be able to impact lives in such positive ways! What an absolute joy! This really is what it’s all about. We’re not out to pose and snap. We’re out to move, feel and connect to produce images with memories. The warm emotions that come back when you look at the photos in the yearbook or on the wall! This is the kind of sendoff everyone needs as they embrace adulthood and blossom into who they are meant to be. Treasured.
Do you have a teenage girl? If you do, you know how critical they are of themselves and how torturous it is seeing your beautiful child always pick themselves apart. I am starting my review of Caryn Scanlan photography with this because any photographer can take pictures of confident kids but when you have a child who has been bullied and had medical issues, who’s self esteem has plummeted, it’s almost like a recipe for failure for a “regular” photographer. But, Caryn Scanlan made the entire experience amazing, magical, a teen girl’s dream. The setting was not your standard beach setting, although she does beach photos all the time, but she played to my twin seniors (boy/girl) love New Hampshire and hiking and woods settings. Her energy was infectious. She listened to them as we walked through fields and forests and by lakes and she played off what they saw and said to make their photos so custom to them. I could write for days. My children spent the entire evening talking about what an amazing experience they had. When you have experiences in life that are not just “regular” but are extraordinary – you have to share them. Caryn vibrates on a higher frequency and it shines through in her work. We had never met before. She was recommended to me. And I honestly can say, she has impacted my and my kids lives because she reverberated grace into them and it not only made our senior portrait session amazing, but I am confident it will have a lasting impact and she likely won’t be rid of us anytime soon! I cannot thank you enough!
Isn’t that something that’s just so precious? Honestly, that’s why I do what I do, and I’m so excited to continue growing, and continue giving something precious to every single one of my clients.
