A Foggy Family Session | New London, CT
Photography mentoring is such an awesome thing! I absolutely love watching a photographer grow as she embraces, learns and pivots. A family getting to be a part of that in the session is the icing on the cake! And GAH! Oh the fog! It was for sure a huge pivot – we had planned on sunset and silhouette shots and all the things. Ultimately the fog was just so stunning and added an amazing element of authenticity, something different, and an opportunity to pivot and explore something new! This foggy family session was full or lovely surprises!
Speaking of fog, my student mentioned in the 3 years they have lived in New London, CT it has not once ever been foggy like this! The weather everywhere is kinda crazy! My son is at Fort Leonard Wood, MO doing his basic training and they literally have tornado warnings every few weeks. I’m thinking the weather is only going to get wilder. So, we pivot and embrace and don’t run away from these magical moments.
Following an amazing first mentorship session last year, it was so good to see how Nicole has grown in just a year, and what an incredible job she’s doing with all aspects of photography. This family session in New London resulted in some beautiful art. I absolutely cannot wait to see how far she goes!
