Meeting this family has forever changed me and joining them as their MassGeneral Birth Photographer was an absolute treasure! We had great chats on the phone, and then a really nice coffee together – dad, mom and 11 year old big brother. That’s one of my favorite parts of a birth story. I get to know them a little, and experience the anticipation and excitement to meet the newest member of their family, and hear about all the preparations, hopes, fears and joys. It was especially fun hearing just how this big brother, 11 years old than his little sister, was planning on being there for her. Just awesome.

Baby’s arrival at MassGeneral Hospital in Boston, MA (named #1 hospital in the nation – aren’t we so blessed!?) was only 3 days past her due date, and her mom was so ready to meet her! She had gentle beginnings and a fantastic team to care for them all. Her Birth Day, Friday March 4, 2016, was chilly with a touch of snow. Her mama was a real warrior, laboring and birthing her so beautifully!

Being there to witness a birth is always an incredible experience. I’m so thankful for the trust these families place in me, and for what it brings to my life to be able to share these times with them!
